Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

It's been WAY too long since I've posted any updates...apologies! Life here have been a little hectic lately, since I graduate in 2 weeks! EEKS!

Here's the last project for grad portfolio class...it's still in progress. The head is a clay model I did, the hat is something I found at Hobby Lobby and thought would be awesome on her. The hand/chicken are purely digital, which I'm pretty happy about since I've been trying to rely less on sculpey models. There's a certain quality the sculpey gets, though. I also imported my own eyes into this piece. Basically, it's a mash up of every new technique i've tried/learned this year! :)

  1. This looks absolutely phenomenal! Good choice on the hat, the shadows it casts on her face really add to the whole mood. Can't wait to see the finish.

  2. I am LOVING how this is coming along. The use of the straw hat was a wise choice. I love her hair, too!
